The Embassy of Japan, through its Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP), is now seeking the services of self-motivated and competent staff with high degree of initiative to fill the position as Program Officers.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:

1) appraisal of small rural infrastructure projects involving the following sectors : social welfare, water system, education, health, disaster, peace building and livelihood

2) grants administration

3) monitoring and evaluation of projects

4) project management

5) logistics and administrative support

Qualifications:

1) Age: 25-35 years old

2) Graduate of a four-year university course, preferably in Social Science, Public Policy and Planning, Economics, and Management or other related courses

3) With at least five (5) years work experience in the areas mentioned above

4) Experience in project formulation, monitoring and evaluation with /at international donors will be an advantage

5) Highly proficient in English, both oral and written communication

6) Knowledgeable in computer applications (Excel, MS Word, Powerpoint and Filemaker)

The said position will have an initial contract for one (1) year and extendable to another year. He/She will be based in Manila, but will be required to travel in the Philippines.
